Gérard Stricher est un jeune peintre, né il y a soixante ans dans l’est de la France.
Gérard Stricher est un jeune peintre, né il y a soixante ans dans l’est de la France. Son œuvre reflète la densité de sa vie passée.
Il a voyagé aux quatre coins du monde, vécu à l’étranger pendant de nombreuses années et tout son imaginaire est rempli d’images, de rencontres, d’expériences qui nourrissent son travail créatif.
Autodidacte, il débute la peinture dans les années soixante dix en même temps qu’il fait ses études d’ ingénieur à Paris. Il fréquente les peintres, les galeries, il vend, on l’encourage.
Cependant, une autre voie s’ouvrira à lui, celle de l’industrie où il fera une brillante carrière de manager pour finir en 2001 Président d’un grand groupe international.
Atypique, mais constant et persévérant, son rêve et projet de peindre prennent forme dans un atelier qu’il acquiert dans le Véxin à quelques kilomètres de Paris en 2004. Il peint avec passion et frénétiquement pour exprimer sa vision du monde.
Il organise sa première exposition personnelle en septembre 2007 à Paris à l’Espace Commines. Premier succès, dix grandes toiles sont vendues le soir du vernissage. Les amateurs d’art viennent le voir dans son atelier curieux de son évolution et son site sur internet diffuse ses œuvres qui se vendent à l’étranger.
Indépendant, Gérard Stricher évolue en toute liberté. Son cheminement est fait de recherches, il expérimente toutes les techniques et sa faculté créatrice d’une grande intensité ne permet à aucune routine de complaisance de s’installer. Maniant la couleur de façon audacieuse avec des formes subtilement intégrées, tout son travail est un étonnement permanent.

Gérard Stricher is a young artist, born sixty years ago in the eastern part of France.

He has travelled all around the world, lived for numerous years abroad and his imagination is full of pictures, occasions, experiences which have nourished his creative work.
Autodidact, he starts painting during the seventies, during his studies at the Technical high-school in Paris.
He meets other painters and galleries, he sells and is encouraged.
At the end, life decides differently and he joins the industry.
After a successful carrier he finishes as CEO of a large international Group.
Out of norm, but constant and persevering, his dream to paint becomes reality when, in 2004, he acquires and old mill located in the French Vexin, nearby Paris.
He paints with passion and fury to express his vision of the world.
In September 2007, he organizes his first exhibition at the Gallery “Espace Commines” in Paris.
First success, ten large-format paintings are sold on the opening day. Collectors are visiting Gérard in his studio, curious about his evolution and this website shows paintings sold all around the world.
Independent, Gérard works with full freedom. His itinerary is built on research, he tries all techniques and his high level of creativity doesn’t allow any routine compliance.
Mastering colours with audacity, while integrating shapes and structure,
all his work appears as a permanent astonishment.
